What does 'fact' mean in this context? Once 'established', are these 'scientific facts' infallibly true? And who is to decide? And why then do 'established' scientific theories so often eventually get modified or rejected? And not because of new evidence / experiments but because their illustrious champions die? And when they are still alive why do scientists who demonstrate results that go against these 'scientific facts' get ignored or suffer ad hominem / career damaging criticisms?

Once science petrifies its own philosophically naive working hypotheses into infallible dogmas, it's in trouble.

Agree of course.

But an infographic is not a scientifico-philisophical treatise, it's a very much shortened, not very nuanced, simplified overview of things!
